How You Gain National Skills
How You Gain National Skills
1. NOS Integrated
The UK National Occupational Standards (NOS) are fully embedded into each stage of the curriculum to ensure alignment between learning and professional competencies.
2. Transforming KSB into Competence
SIMI maps Knowledge, Skills, and Behaviours (KSB) from the NOS to measurable professional competencies, ensuring that every learning outcome reflects real workplace expectations.
3. Converting Competence into Learning Outcomes (L.O.)
Each competency is translated into specific, assessable Learning Outcomes, forming the academic foundation for student performance and evaluation.
4. Internal Quality Assurance (IQA)
SIMI conducts IQA (Internal Quality Assurance) for every module and assessment to maintain academic integrity, consistency, and compliance with UK qualification standards.
5. Transfer of results to partner
Recognised learning outcomes are formally transferred to partner institutions for further recognition and awarding processes.
6. Partner recognition of results
Partner institutions review and formally recognise the transferred learning outcomes in accordance with their own academic regulations and authority.
7. Qualification awarded by partner
Partner institutions award the qualification under their own authority, while SIMI Swiss does not issue the degree. This approach allows learners to benefit from Swiss educational quality, recognised national competencies, and significant cost efficiency.
