Academic Support Systems
Distance Not Distant
SwissEdu⁺ believes that digital higher education is most effective when learners are always supported by dedicated academic support systems.
Step 1 – Class Reminder
The Academic Support Systems remind learners of upcoming classes via email, phone calls, and automated scheduling tools.
This ensures learners stay proactive and can organise their study and work schedules effectively.
Step 2 – Syllabus Review
Learners review the syllabus and teaching plan to understand the course structure and key learning objectives, identifying core topics for preparation.
Step 3 – Learning in LMS
Learners access recorded lectures and translated learning materials reviewed by subject specialists.
This stage helps learners grasp key concepts and identify areas for deeper discussion.
Step 4 – Question Preparation
Learners prepare questions and learning issues in advance and may submit them via the LMS or Academic Support Systems for pre-class clarification.
Step 5 – Live Class
The lecturer delivers the session according to the teaching plan.
Learners receive in-class support from teaching assistants and class coordinators to enhance interaction and understanding.
Step 6 – Tutorial Support (if applicable)
Teaching assistants support learners in tutorials, helping them deepen understanding, apply knowledge, and develop assignment ideas.
Step 7 – Assignment Work
Learners complete assignments following the Assignment Guide, with optional consultation from teaching assistants.
Step 8 – Plagiarism Check
Academic Support Systems assist learners with English language, formatting, and plagiarism checks before final submission, subject to the support schedule.
Step 9 – LMS Submission
Learners confidently submit final assignments via the LMS before the submission deadline.
Academic Support Systems – Limitation of Responsibility
SwissEdu⁺ provides Academic Support Systems solely as a learning support and guidance service. These systems are designed to assist learners in understanding academic requirements, improving study skills, and preparing submissions in accordance with academic guidelines.
Academic Support Systems do not:
- complete assignments, examinations, projects, or any assessed work on behalf of learners;
- rewrite, edit, or alter academic content in a manner that interferes with the learner’s original work or academic authorship;
- intervene in academic assessment, marking, grading, moderation, or decision-making processes;
- communicate with awarding bodies, examiners, or partner universities on behalf of learners regarding academic outcomes.
All academic work submitted remains the sole responsibility of the learner, including content originality, academic integrity, compliance with assessment regulations, and adherence to plagiarism policies.
SwissEdu⁺ and its Academic Support Systems do not guarantee:
- successful submission, passing grades, or academic outcomes;
- acceptance, approval, or recognition of assignments or qualifications by partner universities, awarding bodies, or third parties;
- exemption from academic misconduct, plagiarism findings, or disciplinary actions imposed by awarding or examining authorities.
Any English language, formatting, or plagiarism checks provided by Academic Support Systems are supportive and advisory only and do not replace the learner’s obligation to ensure full compliance with academic and institutional regulations.
SwissEdu⁺ reserves the right to refuse or discontinue academic support services in cases of suspected academic dishonesty, misuse of support services, or violations of institutional policies.
